March 29, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Paul Krugman - Arguing with Zombies

For our final event of 2020, we welcome New York Times columnist, best-selling author, and Nobel prize–winning economist Paul Krugman to Montclair to discuss his latest book, Arguing with Zombies: Economics, Politics, and the Fight for a Better Future. Don’t miss this accessible, compelling overview of today’s major policy issues, moderated by renowned journalist, political commentator, and former White House Press Secretary, Bill Moyers.

In Arguing with Zombies, Krugman tackles many of the misunderstandings of basic economics, or ‘zombie economics’, taking stock of where the United States has come from and where it’s headed.

Arguing with Zombies puts Krugman at the front of the debate in the 2020 election year and is an indispensable guide to two decades’ worth of political and economic discourse in the United States and around the globe. Join Paul Krugman in conversation with Bill Moyers for a guided tour of the greatest economic policy issues of our time.

Tickets ($40) include a copy of Arguing with Zombies: Economics, Politics, and the Fight for a Better Future. Doors open at 3.30pm. The talk will take place from 4-5pm.

The VIP admission ($100) includes a post-event reception with the author and moderator (5-6pm), priority entry and reserved seating.

Paul Krugman, recipient of the 2008 Nobel Prize in Economics and a best-selling author, has been a columnist at The New York Times for 20 years. A Distinguished Professor at City University of New York, he resides in New York City.

Bill Moyers is a journalist and public commentator. He was a founding organizer of the Peace Corps, a senior White House assistant and press secretary to President Lyndon B. Johnson, the publisher of Newsday, a senior news analyst for CBS News, and the producer of groundbreaking series for public television. He is the winner of more than thirty-five Emmy Awards, nine Peabody Awards, and the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ Lifetime Achievement Award. He is the author of Moyers on America: A Journalist and His Times and Bill Moyers Journal: The Conversation Continues.
