Twelve-year-old Desiree Davenport adjusts to life in a new city and a new school while fitting in as a cheerleader for USA Little League Football. Challenges arise when she befriends the stars of the football team and must choose between holding onto the close relationship with her friends and standing up for what is right.

Ages 10 to 14. Maximum 20 participants.

Author, motivational speaker and literacy advocate Chental Song Bembry uses Desiree’s story to introduce storytelling through cartooning and shares ideas about finding passion and purpose. 

PLEASE NOTE:

• Please register in advance – maximum 3 children per registration.
• If you register but cannot attend, PLEASE CANCEL so others can participate. Our instructors put so much time and effort into preparing and we hate to see them with a half empty studio! 
• Workshops will start promptly and latecomers will not be admitted.
• Walk-ins will be permitted only if there is space.
• Children aged 10 and above may be dropped off for this workshop and MAM will offer a guided gallery tour to caregivers.
