The sixth annual Succeed2gether’s Montclair Literary Festival was held between May 5 and 9, 2022. Events included Montclair State University and Montclair high schools student readings, workshops, and a range of author talks and panel discussions. Featured authors included Jennifer Egan, Elizabeth Alexander, Don Winslow, Gideon Rachman, Daphne Palasi Andreades, M. Chris Fabricant, Zain E. Asher, Peter Balakian, Chris Grabenstein, Albert Samaha, Cleyvis Natera, Joyce Carol Oates, Megan Abbott, Anna Quindlen, Leigh Newman, Michelle Hart, Andrew Rice, and Gal Beckerman.

Since May, the Festival has hosted sell-out crowds with author of Daisy Jones & The Six and and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Taylor Jenkins Reid who gave her first in-person talk in late August about her new book Carrie Soto is Back, and then in October award-winning and bestselling author of Hamnet, Maggie O’Farrell talking about her new book The Marriage Portrait. In November, the festival also hosted British actor Hugh Bonneville for his only NJ talk for his memoir Playing Under the Piano, and in early December Jon Meacham joined the festival for an online talk for his latest bestseller And There Was Light about Abraham Lincoln.
