Taylor Jenkins Reid ‘Carrie Soto is Back’
August 31, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Bestselling author and #BookTok favorite author Taylor Jenkins Reid is back in Montclair with Carrie Soto is Back, her only NJ event!
We’re thrilled to welcome author of Daisy Jones & The Six, Malibu Rising, and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Taylor Jenkins Reid on Wednesday August 31 at 7 p.m. Taylor will be live and in person talking about her new book Carrie Soto is Back. This will be her only NJ event, one of three in-person events on the East Coast.
In this powerful novel about the cost of greatness, legendary tennis player Carrie Soto attempts a comeback when the world considers her past her prime. At thirty-seven years old, Carrie makes the monumental decision to come out of retirement for one last year. In this riveting and unforgettable novel, Taylor Jenkins Reid tells her most vulnerable, emotional story yet.
“Reid captures the excitement of elite sports in her descriptions of Carrie’s games, as well as the struggle that women athletes face when their ambition and confidence is ‘too much’. But the most affecting moments are when Carrie lets her guard down and shows the woman behind the myth.“–Booklist [starred review].
Tickets to hear Taylor Jenkins Reid in person cost $35 and include a pre-signed copy of the book Carrie Soto is Back (value $28). Books will be available for collection at the event. Get your tickets here.
This event will be held at Temple Ner Tamid, 936 Broad St, Bloomfield. We are currently not requiring any Covid safety precautions but we will review closer to the time. Precautions may include mask wearing and social distancing inside the venue.
