Valerie Wilson Wesley is the author of A Glimmer of Death, the first book in a new cozy series published in January, 2021. She is also the author of the popular Tamara Hayle Mystery series as well as three stand-alone novels and two paranormal romances written under the pen name Savanna Welles. Her books for children include six books in the Willimena Rules! Series, The Afro-Bets Book of Black Heroes, which she co-wrote with Wade Hudson and the essay “Never Be Afraid to Soar” which is included in the critically acclaimed The Talk: Conversations About Race, Love and Truth, edited by Cheryl Wills Hudson and Wade Hudson. The Tamara Hayle mysteries and several of her novels have been published in Germany, France and the UK. She has also received best book for her novel Ain’t Nobody’s Business If I Do, from the American Library Black Caucus Association.
