Writing with the Senses Workshop with Judith Lindbergh
September 14, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Just as in life, the five senses are our window into the world of our narrative and key to creating visceral experiences on the page. In this interactive workshop, you will learn to go beyond simple physical description and explore how to apply all five senses – sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste – to your writing. No matter your literary genre, this workshop will teach you to open up your sensory awareness to lend texture, color, vibrance, and dimension to your writing.
Taught by Judith Lindbergh, founder/director of The Writers Circle (www.writerscircleworkshops.com) and author of historical novels including The Thrall’s Tale, about women in Viking Age Greenland.
1 hour/Tickets $30. Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite here bit.ly/3lzQN0e. The event will be held online via Zoom.
Please note that all ticket sales are final.
Succeed2gether’s fourth annual Montclair Literary Festival was scheduled for March 25 to 29, 2020. Due to the current health crisis, Festival Day is now taking place online on September 12 and 13, 2020, with publishing workshops also planned for September 14, 15 and 16. You can see all the events on our website events page here. The festival is a fundraiser for Montclair-based non-profit Succeed2gether, which offers after-school one-on-one tutoring and enrichment classes with the aim of closing the education opportunity gap in Essex County.
